The event aims to raise community awareness about organ and tissue donation and to assist in promoting the reform programme within the New England region.

From a young age Leonnee always had a passion for design and a strong creative talent. Studying Art and Textile Design, whilst completing her HSC at McCarthy Catholic College in Tamworth NSW. Graduating from McCarthy Catholic College in 2007, Leonnee made a decision to relocate to Sydney in 2008, enrolling in an Advanced Diploma of Commercial Arts at The Commercial Arts Training College (CATC) in The Rocks, Sydney.

Immediately following her time at CATC Leonnee was given the opportunity at one of Australia's largest Advertising Agencies, M&C Saatchi, an amazing first career step. Leonnee began her career in the advertising industry, working alongside some of Australia's most notable fashion stylists, photographers and creative directors  Leonnee was developing strong relationships and the future looked promising.

In 2011 upon falling pregnant with her first and only child Levi, Leonnee fell ill from a heart disease which put a hold on her career.
A hereditary condition meant Leonnee's health was deteriorating rapidly and the promising future and her excitement for beginning a young family was falling away. The only option was a heart transplant.
In 2012, thanks to an incredible family Leonnee received her much needed heart transplant and made a successful recovery. Throughout this time Leonnee and her family made the decision to return to country NSW. Returning to the creative industry as a freelance designer in Tamworth for 12 months.
Making the decision to return to work full time Leonnee founded 'Leonnee Advertising & Creative Design Agency' (Leonnee Pty Ltd)  in 2013 on the first anniversary of her heart transplant, a way to say thank you to her donor.

Expanding the company In 2014, Leonnee's fiancée Joe came on board as Account Director, the decision to make the agency a family affair was an easy one as Joe had previously been diagnosed with Kidney disease and the transplant ordeal will soon take a strong hold of their lives once again as Joe waits for his transplant.
Together, Leonnee and Joe are clearly strong advocates for organ and tissue donation and in 2015 they will launch the 'Don't Throw It Away' event, the event aims to drastically increase community awareness about organ and tissue donation.
Fiona Coote Australia's first female transplant recipient will return to her home town as the events special guest.

In November of 2014 Leonnee has taken on a new role of Managing Director for The Australian Wool Fashion Awards. Liz Foster successfully filled this role for the last 30 years and the time has come for her to pass the baton on. The awards previously held in Armidale NSW, will move to it's new home of Tamworth NSW in 2015,
The Awards will be a great asset to the Tamworth community that has state of the art resources and facilities capable to house such an event.
The Australian Wool Fashion Awards is one of Australia's major wool industry events and its imperative its roots remain in the country.
The competitions main aim is to educate and encourage young designers in the wonderful qualities of merino wool.
